It's a good book, but I had trouble reading it. I mean, not because of the vocabulary or comprehension. I think Annie Barrows used a lot of details, and you really need to want to read through the book before you finish it. I felt like I had to push through and read the last few pages.

I thought that this book was awesome!!! Toward the end I didnt want it to end! I would reccomend this book to anyone but mostly people who like time- travel and adventue.

This book is about a girl named Miri. She has two brothers and two sisters. She just moves to an almost historical house. She is surprised to see that her room is shaped funny. Her two brothers go on a walk in the back yard and meet an old man who tells them that there is buried treasure in there back yard. So right away they start looking. Miri gets mad that her brothers would not let her look with them and she hit her brother Ray with a shovel so they broke her glasses. Right away she was sent to her room. While she was there she saw a piece of glass taped to the wall. Miri picked it,looked through it and her whole world changed. A girl named Molly claims that Miri is there to save her and bring her back to her time. Miri soon finds out Molly is in terrible danger. She has an evil cousin named Horst who might hurt her. Will Miri get caught there? Will Horst hurt Molly? And the biggest question of all: Will Miri get Molly to her time in time? I would recommend this book to anyone because it is funny and magical.
